These cookies look so professional!! Can you believe I've never had a black and white cookie? I need to find a vegan version when I'm in NYC this summer... or I can just get off my lazy butt and make some!

Hi Shellyfish - thanks for the sweet compliments about the photos - I've been struggling with my old digital trying to make things look half decent :) My little digital has no true macro so the shots aren't what I'd like them to be. Using my old 35mm system isn't practical for the turnaround time on the blog but I'm hoping to sneak in a new digital soon.

So I was pining away about NY and now you've got me pining away over Paris, sigh. Two very different but incredible cities!...must get back... :)

These look fantastic! Your photos are really beautiful.
How funny that b&w's = NY for you. For me it was Paris. I'd never had one before until my first visit to France when I was 16. Each visit there after I would always find myself one...and was thrilled when I could find them in a deli back in the states. When I lived in the Marais they would have these beautiful b&ws (sans frosting though) in the windows of the Jewish bakeries...hummm...
