UPDATE – I received a response from The Canadian Sugar Institute today. They did not address the erroneous information on their website – in fact, their response didn’t make much sense given my enquiries.
This is what they had to say:
So, they do not engage in the trading or refining of sugar – but they apparently print misleading information about it on their site.
